I am a young Moroccan woman, I am preparing to get married to a Syrian man who lives in Qatar?

If you marry in Syria as a noncitizen he will have more rights to any future children if you ever split up as a citizen himself. If you were a Syrian woman you would have more rights than he though. A few years ago a law was ped in Syria for female Syrians to get custody of their kids. Syria is overall secular, more civilized than other arab countries but unfortunately has some form of shariah courts for muslim families. Hopefully this will come to an end soon, many of us are calling for complete secularization. Anyway if you are muslim, you will have an "islamic" marriage. If you are secular you can have a secular reception afterwards. If you are so worried about the future either don't marry him because you don't trust him or marry and settle in Morocco where you will have more rights as a citizen. Good luck!
