How can I find out my state's requirements and guidelines for religious programs?

I know that Doctor of Divinity degrees can be given online based on your experiences in life and all that good stuff (like from Universal Life Church, Saint Luke Evangelical School Of Biblical Studies and Victory Bible College) But when granted would I be allowed to put D.D after my name in California? Is there a website where I can find out if that would be legal to call myself a Doctor of Divinity?
